On the 4th of April (between 1am and 6am)  the PW New Media UK and US mail servers were upgraded to the latest version of SmarterMail, version 8. As this will require upgrading all the data files, the mail server may be unavailable for 1 - 2 hours during this period. The work is being done overnight to minimise disruption to customers.

If you have any problems, please do not hesitate to contact us. We hope that you enjoy the new features that the upgrade will bring.

Plant Belles website phase 2

25th Mar 2011 by Charlotte Quickenden

If you had a shop you'd continue to maintain it and keep it looking fresh wouldn't you?

Well your website is no different:

  • your customers get bored if there's nothing new to entertain them
  • the site ( shop furniture ) becomes outdated if it doesn't keep up to speed
  • you grow, you develop- your website needs to reflect this.

Our web clients understand this, and scheduling in updates and development time to refresh their site is important to them. We've just updated local company Plant Belles web site in time for the busy garden season which is about to erupt. Here's what Director Jenny Maddock had to say about our work ..

"Bow IT have recently updated my website, I am over the moon with the results and the clever things they have enabled me to do and achieve with my site. They have exceeded my expectations with this latest website update. I will be back for more!"

We wish Plant Belles well as they embark on there Garden Show exhibitions culminating in the Coombe Trenchard show on the 17th/ 18th of June see www.coombetrenchard.co.uk/garden-festival for more details.

We love it when our websites perform straight off for SEO

17th Mar 2011 by Charlotte Quickenden

Newly released website www.scimobilehomes.co.uk had a brief to be found on Google, Bing and Yahoo as a supplier for Used Static Caravans in the South West.

Successful organic listing isn't a black art if you follow simple steps:-

  • Site Map Submission
  • Title, Meta and Image Tags
  • Keyword strong content
  • Domain and URL relevance
  • Internal and External linking
  • Compliant and Clean Code

A week post release we were pleased that SCI was ranking on page one, between the 1st and 3rd entry for the search terms. We wish them all the best and look forward to hearing that the new website helps increase their sales revenue.

Curzon Community Cinema- phase two install

4th Mar 2011 by Charlotte Quickenden

This week saw the last stage of the interactive technology display at the Curzon Community Cinema. In went the touchscreen with the audio and image tour and the timeline of events.

Two of our directors went along to the launch on Friday night to celebrate the £320,000 Heritage Funded cinema renovation- they commented " A great sense of community runs through this cinema, the listed building tells of a bygone era whilst the Curzon youth media groups short film shows what the talent of tomorrow is yet to bring to this place. Bow IT's involvement has to been to help capture the past and present through interactive software and hardware so that everyone can find out more. This project was a first time install of a Smartboard S660i- it looks lovely and flush and was very handy for visitors leaving feedback on the night! "
